I had a whole weekend.
Two days without the internet, without work and without computers!
Saturday was a lovely autumnal day. We spent the afternoon wandering around the beautiful gardens and woods of the Serralves Institute and having hot chocolate in the cafe in the woods until it got dark and we had to wander through a pitch black forest to try to find the exit. Inside the museum I especially enjoyed the photography exhibition of Augusto Alves da Silva's work.
The park was just the kind that I like; sufficient nature and open space but right in the middle of the city. A la the Palermo zoo in Buenos Aires. Or Central Park in New York. Speaking of which...
On Saturday evening I finally went to see "New York, I Love You". I had really enjoyed "Paris, je t'aime" so was looking forward to seeing the New York version but also feeling slightly apprehensive that American overexcitement might spoil what made the Paris film successful. But I crossed my fingers-after all, it's New York, seemingly a nation itself within the rest of the country. I was very pleased with the film. It has received more negative reviews that "Paris" did and shockingly had a smaller budget but to be honest, I enjoyed both films and only prefer "Paris" as I have lived there and can personally relate to some of the content and material more. Saying that I think that most people on earth who have grown up with television and film feel as if they know New York well. I recommend both films.

Sunday was wet, windy and very cold. So we stayed in bed all day, turned the heat up and read. :) Had raclette for lunch. Pears roasted in honey with melted chocolate for dessert. And then slept. Lots. Now the week is here again. Productivity. Now.
